Videos
from the East Main Street Camera program are now available. To date,
the videos have drawn more than 85,000 online views.
The East Main Street
Camera Program, located on the Near East Side of Columbus, Ohio, now
consists of six high-resolution, Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras, connected by a
Firetide wireless network. Video images are beamed real-time to a Digital
Video Recorder, and simultaneously uploaded to the Internet.
The primary goal of the Main Street Security Camera Program is to deter
nuisance and criminal activity. Secondary goals are identification of

2008 Highlights
In our continued efforts to improve the business environment along the East Main Street Corridor, the ONRBA supported numerous area activities and initiatives. Some of the highlights include:
The Completion of Heritage Square Marketplace, and opening of Save-A-Lot and Simply Fashions
Implementation of a security camera program from 18th Street to Wilson Avenue, and use of that camera system to confirm the origins of a property fire (electrical problem), exonerate a police officer from false claims of police brutality during an arrest of a fugitive, identification of suspects in a burglary, video evidence provided to police for a robbery, and deterrence of drug dealing at Main and Ohio.

Completion of the first full year of the Main Street banner program
Operation of a Christmas Tree Market and fundraiser with Franklin Park Area Association, Columbus Compact Corporation, and Driving Park Youth Baseball League
Application to City of Columbus for NCR designation and funding to support our business improvement efforts
Completion of a Directory of Main Street businesses, set for printing in early 2009 and community-wide distribution.
Implementation of a litter pick-up program and coordination of clean up efforts for Olde Towne East Neighborhood Association’s Homes for the Holidays Tour.
This is a good start, but the best is yet to come. With your continued support, we can continue these activities and continue to improve the business environment on E. Main Street.
2009 Membership Renewals
The Old National Road Business Association is now taking accepting membership renewals for the 2009 calendar year. The membership annual membership fee will remain at $35, with all fees going towards our continued efforts to contribute to the continued economic development of the Historic East Main Corridor. Members receive a listing and link on the ONRBA website along with a listing in the Business Directory brochure. Please click the link below to download and submit a membership application update.
